Oh, my weird Lithops. This was my very first Lithops. It was the cutest little fat butt ever, and I fell in love. Then it split, and began to grow taller. And taller. AND TALLER. I was quite concerned, as this is not normal. Then today, it burst. All at once. As you can see, it had not one, but TWO new leaf pairs inside that giant tower of Lithops. It didn’t show any sign of beginning to split (and shouldn’t have until winter), but suddenly burst under the pressure of the growing leaf pairs. I have no idea how this will turn out, to be honest. But, I feel pretty confident it was happy or it couldn’t have produced four new leaves instead of two, so I think this beefy fella is gonna muscle through this. #Lithops #Mesembs #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #WhatTheSucc #Succulents #Succulent

Sorry I’ve been on here minimally lately—work has taken up all of my time lately. I work 12 hour shifts and it’s exhausting. But… I have a Lithops making a flower bud—my first ever Lithops flower! And I also included photos of my mutant Lithops that made two extremely tall heads, in summer when it’s not supposed to, and which refuses to absorb its old leaf pair (despite it being ripped open). Y’all!!! I added to my #LithopsArmy! I got a ton of baby Lithops, plus two kinds of dinteranthus. I got everything from Konger Garden on Etsy. It was soooo hard to plant these teeny tiny babies! But, I love all the colors!! I’ll put photos in the comments of how they looked before being planted. I’m psyched! I hope they all live! I came home from work to see that my tiger jaws had TWO flowers open for me! And I have a Lithops that is about to open a white flower. I always go straight to my plants after work because they are such a source of calmness and help me unwind. I got new mesembs! 😍 It is not actually possible to own *too many* Lithops! 😅 I spent this morning collecting coarse sand from the wilds of Kentucky because I’m tired of buying pumice and lava rock online.
