Yesterday we went out on a trail with one main goal: find as many carnivorous plants as we could (of course, that's always my goal lol). Normally we aren't able to find too many, and I was less hopeful as we were looking in the FL peninsula instead of the Panhandle. But, to my surprise, we found lots! Pinguicula, lots of Drosera capillaris, and Sarracenia minor. Im not 100% positive on a species ID for the pinguicula. Because I missed their flowering period it makes them really hard to identify. I believe they are either Pinguicula lutea or Pinguicula caerulea :) On the other hand, we did catch the Sarracenia in full bloom! It was such a joy getting to see my favorite plants flowering in their natural habitat 💚 #plantsmakepeoplehappy #happyplants #carnivorousplants #merranda #carnivorousclub #pitcherplant #sundew #pinguicula #florida #greggang #plantlove #floweringplants 12 3 Comments
