How to fertilize Blue Star Fern
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Blue Star Fern after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Until today, I didn’t know that the Blue Star Fern is both epiphytic and a native to my state, Florida. So interesting. Now I need to mount it somewhere!

Please help! I found these tiny white moving things on the plant saucer and after several days I found these things, like tiny 💩on the bottom of the saucer. Also many of the leaves are dry and crispy, and many of the new leaves dry and die right away. 😔 #BlueStarFern

These ferns are so rewarding. It’s fun to watch the fronds grow up in varying shapes. Typical fern rules apply: invest in a humidifier or prepare to mist multiple times throughout the day. Keep the soil moist, but not wet. Pick up a bit of moist soil and pinch it between your fingers. If no water comes out it is time to water. Use caution with fertilizers as this guy will burn and shrivel up pretty easily if fed too much.
