Finding light for Alula in your home
a window
Alula love being close to bright, sunny windows 😎.
Place it less than 1ft from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Alula does not tolerate low-light 🚫.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Alula in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Alula
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Alula after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Why are the leaves turning yellow. I treated for thrips 2 weeks ago as precaution (xanadu was infected) and now its losing its leaves.

Is my plant sick? #Alula do I have a pest or disease problem? Other leaves look fine but this one shriveled, has a few tiny white dots and a some stickiness. #PlantAddict #PestControl

Pests…?! 😫 #Alula I don’t know if you can tell from the photos, but tiny little white things? Spider mites or thrips? I have no idea, I’ve never seen anything like these before (have been lucky with my plants never having pests 🙃) What do I do?!

Anyone tried growing Alula in-ground? Just got back home to FL from Kauai and similar atmospheric and climate conditions (without the cliff sides, of course, lol), but the pest load will be the usual workload, but anyone has success in ground outside HI? #Alula
