If you plant in ground the bugs will eat it so I suggest you keep it warm inside
@SveltePhlox39 Hi Ella I have a few outdoor planted in ground that come back yearly actually one of the first bloomers of season . Iโ€™d suggest for this year to bring it in a basement or garage it is natural for them to go dormant. When the temperature starts to rise in spring or after last frost you can safely plant it outside. I would be concerned with it being in a house that it would not go fully dormant effecting the bloom cycle.
Makena and Deb, thank you for your advice!
