What's a good alternative to a bird of paradise or monste...

What's a good alternative to a birds of paradise or monstera deliciosa for small spaces, I like vining and strailing plants like pothos but I'm wondering is there any good alternatives.
I'm not just looking for myself I'm also looking for a beginner as well.
The beginner wants something she can sit and forget like a snake plant or zz plant but I need it to be nontoxic since she has a baby who will be learning how to walk soon and I know he's going to want to put everything in his mouth soon. #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #monstera #birdsofparadise #plantsuggestions

Lace Flower Vine or Chocolate Soldier

Pretty lace flower vine is an easy, pet-friendly houseplant that grows best in hanging baskets, well out of reach of your cat or dog. But should an extra-persistent pet make their way into the pot, no harm will be done. Hang this pretty plant in a spot with bright, indirect light, and water whenever the soil starts to feel dry, and its trailing stems will grow to about three feet long.

Lipstick Plant

This quirky plant has blooms that look like tubes of lipstick, and is safe for cats and dogs alike (other members of the Peperomia family are, too). A native of the tropics, lipstick plant thrives in bright light and loves being outside in the warmer months. It can grow up to 20 inches tall and likes to have consistently moist soil, so don't forget to water!

Monstera adonsonii

Monstera adansonii, also known as the Swiss Cheese Vine, is an easy-to-grow houseplant with show-stopper foliage. Each leaf is full of natural oval-shaped holes called fenestration that earn the plant its nickname. Botanists believe that the holes in its leaves help the plant to stand up to high winds and allow light to pass through to lower parts of the plant in its natural environment. Swiss Cheese Vine loves to climb, and when provided a moss pole, will reward you with larger leaves. Alternately, this vine makes a lovely hanging plant as without support, the vines will cascade down the sides of the pot.

Rhaphidophora tetrasperma

Rhaphidophora tetrasperma, the mini monstera, is a species of flowering plant in the family Araceae, genus Rhaphidophora. It is native to Southern Thailand and to Malaysia.

Pet Safe Indoor Climbing Plants

While none of these plants really β€œclimb” without a bit of help, they really enjoy a nice moss pole, trellis, or command hooks to cling to. These indoor climbing plants are safe for cats and dogs and can be trained easily to climb a wall or structure. The hoyas like bright light and to be kept very lightly moist, while the begonia and peperomias prefer medium to bright light conditions and to not dry out.

The other one I have pictured is a Hoya carnosa @HoyaAddict has one.

Climbing begonia, cissus dicolor

Hoya obovata

Hoya kerrii

Beetle peperomia, peperomia angulata

Peperomia hope
I feel like this gives a similar vibe on a smaller scale. Non toxic.
These are a little more expensive but I love them. It is viney and non toxic according to the website anyway.
for the monstera, monstera adansonii or raphidophora tetrasperma are great options imo!
edit: im sorry i forgot about the nontoxic part πŸ₯² maybe you could try out some vining peperomia?

Welcome to Greg Vincent!
Plants are a great gift, because they will purify the air. (Expert say some plants can even prevent moldπŸ€”)
Even though a houseplant is classified as non-toxic, it can still cause a mild reaction.
What about an air plant?
These are a few non-toxic plants on this website. They even suggest the best child safe organic potting soil.

@A.J. I just got one on Etsy for $20. It’s my new obsession.
I vote to check out Syngonium of all kinds! They’re so chill and many of them are vining. And they’re so pretty…I get the most comments on those. On Greg it says it’s not sure if my wendlandii is non toxic so do some research but I highly recommend!
