Someone followed me home yesterday 😉
I’ve decided to trellis a few of my Hoyas, and in my hunt for trellises, this cute little Hoya Thomsonii Pink jumped right into my hand! Wild right?!?
She must have known that I didn’t yet have a FUZZY Hoya 😍🙌
I guess this means one more Hoya to torture me as it takes FOREVER to even hint at a peduncle 😂
The second pic is a Hoya Krinkle 8 they had for $120 😬 SOOOOOO many blooms and peduncles already!

@debbiedo oh you were almost into dangerous territory there, by NOT having a fuzzy leafed hoya?! Phew, you’re safe now! I think the shock would have been too much for Susann @MusicalRedmint and I, had you not. 😉
Wow 🤩 that Krinkle 8 is ah-may-zing!!! 😲 And $120 isn’t so bad for the size of that beast! 👹
What did you find for trellises? Although I prefer to shop locally, I’ve had good luck on AMZ with both metal and bamboo. Although some of the plastic ones are cute they’re not sturdy enough for the heavier Hoyas. I really like the big circular metal trellises or the U shaped bamboo or traditional bamboo trellis. Love your new addition 🤗. She’s adorable 🥰

That Krinkle 8 is goals. Or rather, a specimen like it, but not quite as pest prone. To be able grow a hoya out like this would be marvelous.
Congrats on the (sp.aff.?) thomsonii. But, like @DreamMachine had pointed out: what do you mean, no fuzzy hoya until now. What happened!!! Once more, I wish I was closer to all of you. You would get a huge emergency fuzzy furry flouff packet STAT. (Including an extremely fuzzy echeveria to make up for years without fuzz).
Had to smile at your comment regarding blooms. to go for a thomsonii of all plants to ward off the bloom curse... I wish you luck. I think if the stars align and you chant thrive into the mirror at midnight, I think it is even able to bloom it early on. 😀 but I gather you've read up on her already, if I understand the comment correctly? If not: Doug Chamberlain's assumption about photoperiod (maybe in addition to a slight temperature shift) seems to hold true. I got this 🤏close this year to blooming her. I think. Maybe. 😅 enjoy your new darling. Flouff away.

Hi everyone just popping in to say hello 👋🏽 been really busy with vacation bible school but I try to pop in here n there. Not a lot going on here but I’m enjoying seeing everyone’s beautiful plants 🪴 😊👍🏽
I do have 2 new babies on my Silver Pathos 1 at the top and bottom 👏🏽from @MamaLinne. It’s look good Deb👍🏽🙏🏽 hope everyone has a beautiful day. Enjoy the sun ☀️ 🫶🏽👋🏽.
PS the plants my neighbor gave me are still hanging in there but not looking too good with the mixed weather: thunderstorms 🌩️ one day and 80-90 degrees the next. I think it’s confusing them. lol

I have had several Plant Mails from my favorite nursery called Gabriella Plants. I decided to buy now, before it really gets hot! 🥵 Here are a few photos of the plants, I have received! Everyone have a great Tuesday afternoon on purpose! 😉 My Ficus Elastica Shivereana, who is already sprouting out a new 🍃 and my Philodendron Moonlight 🌖.

@CutePolypremum Hi Joanie!! Do you have one of these watering pressure sprayers? It has a nice long hose attachment, that’s how I water hard to reach plants. And you don’t need to pump it up 💯 if you don’t want the super high pressure spray 😉 They even make backpack style ones so they’re easier to carry around.

On my end, pleased to report that my Polly has decided she’s ready to behave and came back out to play. Just noticed a new baby in my moonshine snake plant today too. I’m about ready to keep the babies and ship out the parent plants to make more room. 😂 I’ll throw in a pic of my new begonia Spirit of Zanzibar (and in the dark to see the blue). Been on a begonia kick lately. The plant mail I’m waiting on is a Black Magic (finally!) and a Hallows Eve (seemed fitting) from Steve’s Leaves.

The one pictured is a Spirit of Zanzibar, because it was in front of me at the plant shop I have no willpower. I was literally shining my phone flash on it, like, “..is that what I think it is??!” The Hallows Eve is coming via plant mail but looks very similar. Just has orange in the centers, and not sure about iridescence. I will report back when I get it. 🤓

#TheWateringHole @debbiedo Just want to let everyone know what a group of enablers we have here! I was feeling a little left out since I hadn’t bought any new plants recently. After no plants followed me out of Walmart yesterday, I stopped by the Home Depot after work today. I have been feeling a little down this week so I decided I needed a little plant therapy. I think I exercised great willpower since I managed to only buy just one. This beautiful manjula pothos attracted my attention. I just might have a new plant addiction!
@MariansOasis Are you spying on me?! 😂 I only found one in town and it ended up being too tall for my space. So these all came from AMZ 🤷♀️

The pot would be at the very top, close to the ceiling.
The more I do research, the more that I'm leaning on not try to try to find a trellis but instead look for a long, narrow stand or piece of furniture for her.
