First olives 🫒 ever!
Looks like my little olive tree has started producing fruit, and I’m so here for it! I can’t wait to try home grown olives. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #FruitTrees #OliveTree #olive #theamigos #LaSiguanaba

@LaSiguanaba I love olives!Nooo never grew them. My grandma brought fresh olives home from somewhere and me thinking they were already prepared or whatever they do to them after they're picked. Soak them in olive oil or something to cure them. It changes the flavor and texture so they're edible.
@LaSiguanaba How very cool!!! Take a big bite out of one right off the tree and tell me how they taste! Lololol I'm kidding they're disgusting don't do it!! 🤮 I made that mistake as a kid and have NEVER forgotten it. 😁 Is your tree in a pot or in the ground?
@princesspitstop You don’t like olives? I’ll admit, they are not my favorite food, but I seem to use the oil all the time! 🤣 Your family grew olives? Mine were always growing tomatoes, as early and often as possible! 😉 I had no objections.
@thenonnon This is my first time growing olives and I have no idea what I’m doing! 🤣 My tried and true plant care model is benign neglect, and so far it’s working very well! 😉😁
@princesspitstop I had no idea you had to ‘cure’ olives—and my Sicilian grandfather is now rolling over in his grave!!! 🤣 Thanks for the advice because I would have popped one of those bad boys into my mouth as soon as they ripen! 😁
@LaSiguanaba Glad I could help. My job here is done. 😁 Awe well I promise I won't tell him. 💗
@princesspitstop @LaSiguanaba oh my gosh! I planted olives this year too! Yes, don’t eat olives the tree! - always pickle first. 🤣 it’s like cranberries off the vine.. not the flavor you’d expect and goji berries.. ha ha ha
@StalwartBokchoi Thanks for the link—that’s so awesome!!’ ☺️
@Idplantthat I’m not sure. I got it last year and the pot isn’t labeled beyond olive tree. Hmmmm 🤔
