@mimo178 Hi Mimi! Welcome to Greg! Fist and most importantly, it is poisonous to both people and especially to pets! Now…… You treat it like you would a succulent really. They don’t like to be soggy wet and you must allow them to completely dry out between waterings. It needs the most bright direct sunlight you can give it. If you do just those two things, it will be fine! It needs to be outside in the sun at all times. It will not do well in the house as far as I know unless u have a 200 watt grow light over it. Keep it away from your pets if u have them and I would wear gloves when tending to it. I believe you have the correct name😁 Good Luck!🪴🌺🌸
@Ponytailmom so I should use succulent soil? Or just regular? Or a mix? And cuz it's always outdoor (it's somewhere I don't go to regularly) how many times should I check on it and/or water it?
@mimo178 If I were you, just starting ur plant journey, I would buy a moisture meter. I stick it in the soil and it will tell u how moist it is. Only when it is totally dry do you give it water, and when I rains, I would let it drink rainwater just don’t allow it to sit out in a hurricane 🤣 You got this! 😁
@Ponytailmom I will see what I can do about the meter but I still want to know if you can tell me what to do about the soil and what I should do about it?
@mimo178 I just Googled this for you, that is the fastest way to find general plant care and requirements- Most people go to Google first because it is faster than waiting for someone to reply and u will generally get more info on the internet too- good luck! Care Essentials: Light - Requires full sun (6-8 hours of direct light daily) to maintain its bright silver coloring. In partial shade, the leaves may lose their fuzz and turn green or leggy. Soil: Prefers loose, well-draining, moderately rich to sandy soil. Poor drainage will quickly lead to root rot. Watering: Young plants require lightly moist soil to establish their root systems. Mature plants are drought-tolerant and only need occasional watering. Always allow the soil to dry out between waterings.Fertilizer: It is a light feeder. You can apply a slow-release fertilizer once in the spring, but it typically does not need regular feeding.
@Ponytailmom I put in the sun all day yesterday and watered at night and when I checked it today it was like this, can you tell me what to do or what I did wrong?
