I don’t know much about this plant, but it sounds like a transition tantrum! By any chance did it encounter any cold weather on the way home? Sometimes even a walk to the car in the cold can shock a plant.
@MamaLinne yes it’s was cold when it arrived. Did think it would be in shock this long. I guess I’ll change my convo with them to perk up instead of your getting close to falling in the garage
@FitBrowallia sometimes cold shock can actually πŸ’€a plant, or at least the leaves. I would put it in a sunny spot and do supportive care- try not to overwater. Hopefully it will bounce back! But if not hopefully the root system is still viable.
@FitBrowallia I love the big leaves on these. Mine is pretty big and loves being tucked back under the monsteras where she gets indirect light and humidity, but she pouts like a nerve plant when she needs water. Lays over in her pot acting like she’s dying and as soon as I water her she perks right back up.
Yours is probably trying to get acclimated to your home (like @MamaLinne mentioned) but don’t be afraid to water her now that she’s in her new pot, maybe just take it slow and give her enough to wet the soil, but not a good soak yet. Good luck!
Good luck!
13 days is a very long time for this type of plant not to be watered. watered
@IWantThatPlant thank you I will try it
@FitBrowallia Gm I don’t have that particular plant however on 1st glance it looks like it still has too much water and the pot is too big. ((jmo) Depends on the weather, but usually two to three weeks before they look like they are doing ok. A few days to a week or more . While it can tolerate full sun, it does best in partial shade where the intense heat is softened. Soil: Choose a location with moist, well-drained soil for Fatsia japonica. Here are a couple things I picked up on google! So many factors.
YouTube usually has great videos on all plants. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help πŸ™πŸ½
@Preciousplants1 thanks Sherri
