Care tips
So guys I'm on a plant journey and eta just say. I do not have the touch yet. I had to snip a two branches coz we'll they were dead. Just learned that I need to water this bad boy every 7-10 days or when it's looks thirsty. Does this plant get more thirsty during winter? #newgrowth

What they said above. I am generally watering mine probably on average once a week, and it gets approx 800 - 850 FC of light from grow lights. . I dont let mine get get bone dry, but definitely on the dryer side of moist (when looking at my moisture reader). To help with even watering, I rotate top and bottom watering. Not sure if thats 100% necessary, but i have a bigger pot and detest fungus gnats. Lol
@SynergisticJade Here are some highlights: Bright, Indirect Light: Place near an east/west window, getting a few hours of sun, but avoid harsh, direct afternoon sun.
Temperature: Keep between 65-75Β°F (18-24Β°C) and away from drafts.
Watering & Soil
Keep Moist: Water thoroughly when the topsoil feels dry; they like riverbank conditions, so consistently moist soil is key.
Drainage: Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent root rot.
Soil Mix: Use a well-draining mix, possibly adding perlite or sand to standard potting soil.
Humidity
High Humidity: Essential for this palm; mist regularly, use a pebble tray with water, or run a humidifier.
Feeding & Pruning
Fertilize: Feed with a diluted, balanced fertilizer every 2-4 weeks during spring and summer; stop in winter.
Prune: Only remove yellow or dead fronds by cutting them at the base; palms recycle nutrients from dying leaves.

@SynergisticJade my majesty has taken me many places. Its truly the largest plant i have yet its lighet to lift than my Ti, my areca (which isnt supposed to be near her size but shes showing off! Even my parlour palm looks like she could give shade. My cat palm is gaining on Majesty but shes much thinner and shapely, so vecause of that and i actually have 2 grow lights on my majesty, she needs more water usually year round. Summer sometimes is easier because its so humid (even w/the a/c that my plants stay damp) i do give credit to my plabt mix for much of all the credit. I use Mollys Aroid SOILLESS plant mix for Tropical Plants it made by Very Plants. They have a succulent & Orchid version as well but EVERY OTHER type of plant benefita from this mix; it aerates tge soil, u repel gnats because they & most pests like moisture (esp warm). I actually do a lot of bottom watering for my 2-gal drum plants. The water gets right to the roots and even tho folks check top inch or 2 and if dry, BAM, WATER!!!! NOOOOOO!!! Thats how u get rot root. Interestingly, plants only utilize 3% of the warer they receive. Bottom watering also prevents the water to build up in drainage tray or whatever u use to catch it and if u not diligent about dumping it right away (remember to have extra saucer w u so when u take the water filled away to dump, ur plant will get floor soaked while ur away cleaning their tray/saucer. I have hardwood floors & i worry about them more thab i would carpeting. I think when we move im gonna get some very either tropical runners and something like the βnew astro turfβ i keep forgetting what its called but they have come a long way w/βfake grassβ, but i digress. So if u forget to dump and switch trays, depending on number of plants u have, if u have the βaloneβ time needed without calls of βMaβ βNonnaβ, βTac, cβmereβ its always i gotta go to them!!!! Man im digressing a lot today. If u guys get too over me blabbing, please let me know & i promise ill go to therapist! God knows if any # of people dont tell me, we may ALL be in therapy......& THEN whoβs gonna water our plants???? Moreover, whos gonna do it the RIGHT way!!!??? (which of course is our way). Ok, back to ur Majesty. Since u need to do inspections from time to time, i start ar bottom, in tge center; work out & up because if u dont, u can miss a lot of stuff going on, esp w/palms & other bushy, fluffy plants, use ur fingers as a wide tooth comb & VERY gently pull thru the fronds. If u see a dead leaf at the bottom, thats normal. Usually when theyre dead they come right out in my hand. If u have yellow leavea, thats usually a watering issue. Always make note of where u found a concern & that alone may answer ur issue. If u ever need anyrhing specific u think is wrong, im always here and ive had mine for yrs so i hope im not just winging it all the way to success (trust me, i aint that lucky!) if u have browning tips on fronds and they bother u, clip em off. Any injured part of ur plant will take energy from the rest of the plant & attempt to save the injured or portion u just know isnt coming back. When u trim leaves (wide ones, not so muxh palm feonds), try to trim to make tge leaf appear as a healthy one would. Dont just slash off a hunk &ake it obvious (think of filing ur nails & itll come right to u!). If u have a stem or entire palm leaf dying or brown, esp at bottom, inside, old leaves etc; clip them off, even if its a section, plants dont keep all the leaves they get thruout their lives just like we lose hair; plants lose leaves circle of lifey friends. Once u get to know u Majesty by feel and talk to her, explain ur her Mama & here to only help her and take care of her so any plant that doesnt like touched, u need to normalize. That really irritated me when i read it! And not just cause im Italian!!! I mean, come on!!!! What else do we have to do to show these plants we r on their side!!???? I go half broke making sure they have everything, beautiful planters, mist from cool humidifiers, theyre all comfy cozy huddling together and transpiring like crazy and I did that!!! So, bite ur lip, dont call them spoiled brats or divas; not even ur Peace Lily or Prayer Plant; but i have a great puece of advice! As u walk by ur ZZ, stick out ur tongue, flip him the bird, whatever makes YOU feel good!! If it doesnt quite do it for u, get a couple more ZZs & ignore them immediately. It all balances out people!! I know they like talking to them & play some music, but only classical if ur a Mozart fan! Feel free to jam to Vlack Sabbath if u just miss Ozzy so bad; idk! All i know is this: THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE RULES TGE WORLD!!!! I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR IN NUMBERS TOO BIG TO IGNORE!!!!.......AND LIKE THAT!!! KNOW UR VALUE and these plants will do ANYTHING for us when we get done w them !!!!!! All u of the male persuasian, no worries, we can help u but u MUST LISTEN TO EVERY WORD WE SAY!!!! HAHAHAA JUST figured id end on a cute note cause i camt move my left pinkie finger anymore!!! Man, i hopei helped u Annie. Palms arent anyrhing special. I have some talent w them and my Sensae @SuperbRaspfern) calls mr Palm Princess (or is it Queen ?? No matter! They ARE meant to be houseplants SHANNON!!!! Hope ur getting all moved in but ill take a few more jabs while its safe but when u get bacl here,,,,i am so here for u!!! My hero! I miss u bestie!!!
