So some jealous Karen neighbors out where I stay out called the fire marshal and complained about my plants on the balcony I now I have to bring in all my plants. They can't be outside. The fire marshal said it was a fire hazard and somebody might trip. ðĪĶââïļ. My plants have been sitting on that balcony in the summer for 2 years. Never any complaints. I had to bring in 30 plants. So of course I had to order another grow light ð. Not too sure about the placement. I feel like just the front ones are getting light. Iâm so sorry that happened Misty. Some people just have nothing else to do but be miserable and try to drag other people into their misery. On the positive side your plants look great. If I may suggest do not place the grow lights too close. Place your arm at the point where the plant meets the light if itâs too hot on your arm itâs too hot for the plant. @8elephantsdance the balcony is a shared balcony for 4 apartments. It's the only way up and down. But they've been out there during the summer for 2 years. The property manager said 2 years ago it wasn't a problem. There was plenty of space to walk by.
@AC73LoveCats my landlord came to give me a plant the other day that I had ordered from etsy and made a snarky comment that I didn't need any more plants and that I had reached the limit and shouldn't be buying anymore.
@planthoe40 oh my gosh! I am so sorry; I really donât understand why people canât just let people live. If itâs not your home or your property, then please just move on. Not everyone has the same opinion or the same taste. Plus come on; itâs a balcony, not a fire exit. Maybe you need that plant pot to step on so you can get over the balcony! ð I mean come on. What terrible people. Karma needs to do some butt kicking: ðĶĩ ð
@Sassylimey hey girl. I haven't seen you in awhile. How are you doing? @Idplantthat there jealous of everything. They ran up in hubby's face calling us rich and bougie because we grill tbones on the grill every Sunday and they're mad about that ðĪĢðĪĢ I went on Etsy and ordered more plants ðŠī ðĪĢ. Getting 3 today. Just ordered another one. Told hubby I need to order me one of the cold hardy Florida palm tree ðī to stick outside in the side yard. ðĪĢðĪĢ

@AC73LoveCats rent prices are so high. We can't afford it. I only pay $688 a month here and that includes lights, water and cable. So I'm going to stay and be petty ðĪ·ââïļ
@planthoe40 Time to MOVE!! I know that isn't always possible but it's a balcony. Is there an exit through your balcony? This upsets me so bad for you. I am so sorry ð people need to mind their own business. It's zero business of your landlords what you are spending your money on! I worry every time we have balcony inspections to make sure there isn't anything out there junking up the place, which is understandable however plants are beautiful and only makes the property nicer. @princesspitstop yea rent prices here are ridiculous ð I only make $14 and hr and I fight each week for a few hrs of overtime. Hubby's job is closing down in December. So my next door neighbor got mad because I complained to the landlord that he was coming outside at night in nothing but boxer shorts and it's in the lease that you can't so he complained to another neighbor that he thought I had too many plants. My landlord instead of being a man and a grown up and coming to me and asking if I could take some back in the house he called the fire marshal to make it official. Then to cover his a$$ when i started talking ðĐ he claimed he was going to see if the owner could call the fire marshal to work something out. But that was all a lie. He never called the owners. He has said nothing to the neighbor who has a massive plant sitting on the balcony about taking his plant in the house. I stood on the balcony while everyone was outside and said very loudly for everyone to hear that since people out there were jealous and wanted to complain and my plants couldn't be outside then nobody's plants would be outside if i had to make daily calls to the fire marshal
@planthoe40 Stand your ground woman! ðŠ So much drama over plants. I don't even talk to my neighbors other than a smile and nod when I see them outside. I hate that you're going through this. I pray things get better ðð
