& 🍃🌱 Fresh Leaf Friday are coming up, I thought why not combine the two in one post?➗️❓️
So here are my Fresh Leaf Friday and CP Club Thursday contestants🥇🥈🥉🤼♂️🏋♂️⛹️♀️🏄♂️🤺
I am excited to have good news 😀
(and maybe a little bad news🫣)
The good news is one of my Nepenthes is actually flowering!!!! 👌 🌱⚘️🌿💐
This is amazing as I have only had the plant for 6 months and they are very demanding before flowering (eg very high humidity sometimes 80-90%) 🔥 🥵
And the bad news is I only currently have ONE Nepenthes flowering.⚘️
Nepenthes are dioecious, so they come in male or female plants, making self-pollination impossible!🚫⚠️❌️
And I don't yet know if it is a little girl flower 👧or boy flower 👦
so.... I need to start a dating service! 👩❤️💋👨👩❤️👨💋🥰🫶👩❤️👨
Most Nepenthes are male (typical!) about 4 to 1! So I need to find a lovely mate in time 🤔 👀👀⌛️😍🥰💘🫂👫🌱🌱🪷🌸before it's too late⌛️😣😩😥
And a photo of a little pitcher plant growing that looks like an ostrich or bird head to me 🦩🪿🦤 and another that is twisting towards the light like a circus contortionist

Look at all those gorgeous little growths! 🥺🤩🥳 Congratulations on the flowering of your baby nepenthes, that’s incredibly impressive! 🤯 Just goes to show what a dedicated plant parent you are I think and how much you care for all your babies ☺️🌱🌸 I hope you’re able to find a suitable partner for it soon too so that they can thrive even more together! 🪴🪴✨
@signorebean Thanks so much Tristan, I actually saw a nice female on the internet but at that stage I didn't have a flowering plant and now I am kicking myself...plants are full of surprises...
Since you point it out... definitely, I see a bird in the third photo. I'm leaning towards a baby gosling (of the feathered not Ryan variety) but possibly an ostrich or even a swan.
Perhaps nothing like Buddy, my Gull-friend, but I'm sneaking a pic of him in anyway.
BTW, pareidolia is when you see faces in clouds etc. it's not something I suffer with...I embrace and enjoy it. Hello, fellow traveller.

@CorvidFan You are so onto this Elle, you are good at picking out the images...only wish it was Ryan Gosling...I lean more towards ostrich, could be the coloring...but maybe he will turn into a Swan
