Has anyone with an Angel Wing plant experienced this? Loo...

Has anyone with an Angel Wing plant experienced this? Looking for advice to fix the problem from any and all plant owners/lovers alike 😌, I’m just worried about one of my favs 😭, I got some great advice mentioning it’s probably the water cycle but would also love to hear from anyone who might have the same plant and/or went through this too, I’ve had some of my plants for years now but this is a newer one for me and I want to care for it the right way #AngelWingsSenecio #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #NewPlantMom #PlantMoms #PlantAddict #
P.s. why do the photos post sideways? 🙃🥲
lol
@ThistleBeCute ah that's a bug in the Greg app for ios users,

I don't know much about angel wing tho, it's a beautiful looking plant, I'm guessing it's wilting could be from a lack of nutrition on whatever it parasitices since it's a non photosynthesing plant

Hopefully some people at the #thewateringhole can help
Good morning! I did a little research and a couple of things stood out to me- first, it’s a succulent, and second, it’s a full-sun lover. They’re usually outdoor plants, so I’m thinking yours probably has too much water and not enough light! Do you have plans to move it outside this summer? If not, I would say it needs to be near a bright window or have a grow light, and maybe repot into soil that’s well draining (succulent mix) and possibly a terra cotta pot. It looks like you have a cactus behind it too, and they thrive in full sun- so possibly a south facing window? I would just take care if you moved it to a south window for gradually get it there so it can acclimate and not burn. We have a lot of succulent owners in #TheWateringHole group so I hope they’ll chime in! @slayonium @BEsucculent @ZestyWhiteghost
@ThistleBeCute it would also help for you to tell us about your care and conditions for this plant. Otherwise we will be guessing. Do you have this plant set up in your oasis?
@ThistleBeCute Lots of good advice here though @DreamMachine is right more info would be helpful. I honestly can’t tell without that .
Hi @ThistleBeCute senecio is semi-succulent but it still wants to be mostly dry and get lots of sun. It looks more like it’s an immediate watering issue. Check soil to see if too wet or too dry. I don’t see this plant in your oasis so I’m with the others who’ve already posted that we need more info ℹ️ to be helpful 😊

I really appreciate all of your advice, comments, and info!! 🥹🩷 @GardenCat43 @MamaLinne @DreamMachine @MamaLinne @ILoveMyPlants @MariansOasis @ZestyWhiteghost I recently added a few new plants to my oasis that I bought (I need to retake some pictures lol) rn I have my plants set up by my balcony door and I’ve only had my plants inside over time. I live in Florida now, not from here and have been here for almost two years so getting used to the climate in general and especially relating to my plants. Some I’ve had in a colder climate. I’m nervous to move any plants outside as that’s new territory for me but I will give it a try, I’ll also check the roots, the soil is still mildly wet and there’s some water in the drainage area
@ThistleBeCute yeah adjusting to a new climate takes time for plants and their humans 🤭. Years ago I moved to Florida from the northeast and it was a shocker at first. Probably more with the insects 🦟🪳than temps 🥵. Some of the biggest bugs I’ve ever seen were in FL and TX!!!! 🧌 I’m in southern CA now where weather and bugs are mostly normal 😆😵‍💫🤪. Love your little sign btw 🥰
@MariansOasis yes it definitely does! Lol, I’m from the northeast as well, yes the insects (and really all animals in Florida) are much different than home 😅😂, I’m glad they’re more normal where you are now, I was not prepared 😂😂 and aw thank you ☺️💕 my other one is a sticker that says plant mom, I’m trying to be a good one and hopefully more to come soon!
@ThistleBeCute @slayonium @ZestyWhiteghost so they’ve called in the big guns I see. Well on behalf of the littlest of the big guns. I have to admit I don’t have this plant, but I’m a good researcher and here’s probably more than you want to know: https://mygardenlife.com/plant-library/senecio-angel-wings-senecio-candicans if you’ll just follow these instructions and get your plant back into health I think you probably will want to put it outside. It and the sago palm that has only one frond will be happier in the heat of Florida. I might suggest putting your angel wing in a terra-cotta pot as I don’t know what kind of soil you have around your house and it needs lots of air around its roots. Welcome to the south (I live in Texas among the big bugs) , and welcome to Greg where I expect you’ll find lots of friends in both places.
@ThistleBeCute

What an ethereal-looking plant. It's gorgeous 😍.
This is the first time I ever seen this beauty!

I'm sorry to be of no help 😔
@ThistleBeCute I grew up in CT and went to school in FL. At the time I’d never heard a mockingbird. There was one that lived outside my window in Miami. It sounded like there were 5 birds out there… nope just one mockingbird! 😆 🤪
Lol thanks so much @BEsucculent I’ll most definitely check that website out, I actually put both plants out in the balcony just a moment ago 😌, and that’s great to know about it needing air around the roots! I’ve been looking into the best soil (and fertilizer) for my plants overall, if you have any suggestions please let me know, and thank you 😄 it’s been nice in the south so far and Greg has been great too, I hope I do finds lots of friends in both!
@CutePolypremum Yes I love this one so I really hope it’s okay 😭, even the name being angel wings adds to the ethereal feel ☺️, and no worries at all, all comments are welcome I really love the whole plant lover community 🫶
@MariansOasis I’m originally from DE, but have been loving the south so far, and lol! 😂 the nature here is very different than back home but I do love some of the birds and their calls especially, I have to get back to Miami soon maybe during the summer I was only there briefly over this past summer and want to see more of it
