Humidity
Angel Wings Senecio prefers dry environments. Providing extra humidity or misting your plant allows water to linger on leaves, which can create the perfect environment for harmful types of fungi.
Soil
Angel Wings Senecio is very sensitive to wet soil, so choose a potting soil that drains very well and doesn’t retain too much moisture. A good soil will have lots of perlite or vermiculite for drainage and some organic matter for nutrition. A few handfuls of perlite added to regular store-bought cactus soil will do the trick!
Fertilizer
Angel Wings Senecio grows very slowly and doesn’t require added fertilizer. Replacing your plant’s potting soil once a year should provide them with more than enough nutrition. Remember, plants get their energy from sunlight, not fertilizer!
Dormancy
It’s common for Angel Wings Senecio to go dormant in the wintertime and you may notice their growth slow down. Waterings should be spaced out more during this time.

What other plant parents say

The leaves are soft and lush. Beautiful foliage. But whew, this plant is hard to keep alive. It’s a succulent but the information on care is rare. It seemed to thrive more outdoors. But then the pests got to it. Sprayed for pests and the leaves just turned green and sad… I’ve repotted in succulent soil. And it’s in triage. I don’t know if it’ll survive the winter.

This plant when it’s in all its glory is beautiful and soft and lush. But it’s very hard to care for. We only just found out it’s a succulent. NOT a regular foliage plant. So it’s going into triage this winter. Hopefully a small pot, fresh succulent soil, a quick water and leaving it be will bring him back…
