As I was walking into the grocery store today I came across a bunch of plants on BOGO, so I got both of these beautiful ladies for $30. I couldn’t resist. This is my first shot with a Monstera Deliciosa, so drop all of your tips and tricks! I’ve already ordered a trellis for her that should be here in the next couple days. Thrips will be your biggest opp with a monstera!! Maintaining leaf care properly will ensure a healthy monstera. On the other hand that ZZ plant can live in a cave πŸ˜…

Leaf spray for monstera: 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons neem oil, 1 Tablespoon of peppermint castill soap, 5-10 drops of isopropyl alcohol or hydrogen peroxide! Use what you have but the neem oil helps so much with pests and keeps your leaves looking gorgeous!! Clean when dusty:) Also systemic houseplant pest granules work well on top of the soil too! Yellow sticky traps for fungus gnats!!οΏΌThis covers all bases for my plants!! (This works for any plant!)

Monsteras are so easy!! I have propped my main plant so many times and each new prop has thrived!! The one thing I learned recently about Monsteras is that you are not supposed to rotate them. Unlike most plants you should leave them facing the same direction (leaves facing towards the light).
