A little plant spotlight for my Alocasia which has been w me since practically the beginning! She recently had a bit of a spider mite issue but we quickly handled that & sheβs happier than ever π±
Next up we have the classy, cute Marble Queen Pothos - Sheβs finally looking a bit more full after her much needed chop πββοΈ over the summer!
Ahhhh.. cormsβ¦ my first 2 successful (thus far)! Theyβve begun sprouting and rooting this past week & itβs been such a pleasure to see since Iβve not had success in the past!

@SweetAzurebluet for my tradescantiaβ¦ none. π«£π I use big leaf energy on most of them. My orchid fertilizer on the things with blooms but Iβm guilty on not doing that enough too.
@SweetAzurebluet @SweetAzurebluet I just picked up silica like Audrey suggested and I have some hydroponic fertilizers as well. But Iβm hoping to get my fertilizer game up to par.
@PrizedShadscale I just use WTW fertilizer for all my plants. I will be buying Happy Frog soil, which a lot of the members recommend and use
@SweetAzurebluet I love happy frog Ocean Forest soil. I think thatβs how I get along so well without fertilizer for so long. βΊοΈ
@PrizedShadscale hahaha I wouldnβt say βSo happyβ as sheβs definitely been missing the sunlight and outdoor heat! However, I will say when I changed to fox farms soil which included mosquito bits and worm castings & perlite & she has just blossomed from there!!

@elisenavidad hmm good to know. Iβll increase my perlite ratio. Iβm trying pumice lately in place of perlite.
@PrizedShadscale ohhhh Iβd be S O curious to know how that goes!!! Iβm not gonna lie Iβve wondered many times why pumice isnβt utilized with plants more so plz let me know how that goes!!!
@elisenavidad a guy at the nursery had encouraged me to try it. He says it doesnβt end up floating like perlite. And Iβve noticed it has less dust.
@PrizedShadscale honestly, I give most of the credit to the worm castings in the fox farms soil!!! Iβve used worm castings more consistently for the last 7-8 months or so and Iβve noticed an immense difference and improvement since incorporating them!
@PrizedShadscale hmmmβ¦ Iβm even more intrigued now. Did he happen to recommend getting it from anywhere in specific?
@elisenavidad he did not. I bought the one at the nursery but found cheaper online horticultural pumice.
@Prentyce thank you so much! & haha that climber has been moved from plantβ¦ to plant to plant and finally I just told myself I wasnβt moving it again so it just stayed in the pothos. Idk how well itβs working but that thing is soooo damn heavy I have to be careful which plants I use it on!! Itβs tipped over a full pot of soil so many times π
