@JesssJungle I was THIS CLOSE to grabbing a couple of caladium today. I wanted them for shaded outdoor pots but want them to live longer livesβ¦do you have to bring yours in to winter? Iβm in 6b so they would have to come in and wasnβt sure how theyβd do as houseplants. Any advice would help!!
@Amateurbotany
I am also 6b/5b! I will be experimenting with bringing these in for the winter. I have one inside that's doing well, plus these outside that I'll take in when it gets cold.
Here's what Google said:
"Can you keep caladiums indoors all year?
Under ideal conditions, caladium can be grown indoors all year long. Both warmth and light are required throughout periods of active growth to keep the plants looking happy and healthy."
I read that they are bulb plants so if they do die back, you can replant the bulb. π
