Hey #greggers, check out this new leaf on my pachyveria, it's got a weird pointy growth. At first I thought it might be like some type of bug egg or something but, it's the same color as the rest of the leaves and even has the pink tip like the others. @FairyFly Ooooh Kourtney, that’s not a bug egg it’s your Pachyveria throwing a succulent plot twist! 😄 That funky little pointy nub is actually a fascinating mutation of center growth, likely a new offset or a slightly deformed new leaf pushing through. The fact that it matches the plant’s color, texture, and even has the blush tips is a green flag that it’s still your plant baby…just being a little quirky right now (it happens when succs are growing fast or rebounding from stress like repotting or big weather shifts). Keep watching it over the next week or two…if it starts to flatten or spiral out, it’s likely just a leaf coming in with personality. If it stays oddly compact, you might be looking at a double rosette or crested growth….either way, it’s rare and ridiculously cool! Keep that beauty in bright light, don’t overwater, and let nature do its weird, wonderful thing
@Artistic_Stoner @JungleDreamer it looks about the same today. Definitely protruding from the leaf itself but there is a crease there so it could split off. It's fascinating, I'm for sure keeping an eye on it. I'll update when there is something more! 😃
