Ok so the universe has spoken.. loudly and aggressively... Pablo Escobar is now apart of the family. Oh and in other news... Pablo is apparently a female. As for the flowering vegetable, depending on what it is it will either need the flower to produce the veggie or to produce seeds. That looks like a Basil plant so in this case it would be seeds. If you don't want to let it seed and collect them for next year's crop then you can pinch it back so the plant focuses on foliage

Yay!! So happy you’re keeping her!! She’s just adorable and was so cute sleeping all cuddled up with your kiddo! 😍💖😻 And if she responds to Pablo I would keep her name as it is (I think the feminine form of Pablo is Paloma). 😸
As for the flower, it’s not basil for sure. My money is on cucumber flower and I would let it be since it might become a veggie. That cucumber seems to think he’s a gourd!… 😁

@BeesZenGarden not cucumber bc those flowers are tiny and yellow. Maybe it's the okra? They have flowers I've just only seen them dead and crispy on the ground since i don't check on them as much. The gourds are hidden being engulfed by the cucumbers lol but therr are only 3 gourd plants
@BeesZenGarden oh my lanta!?! Yay! I was beginning to think I was tricked and my gourds were really cucumbers because of the crazy Vining and close leaf similarity, except that's cucumbers are a more defined heart shape
@KrunchyWrap They’re really pretty. Reminds me a bit of certain Jasmine flowers but way bigger.
