To harvest okra or not to harvest?

To harvest or not to harvest.. that is the question....
I was td to remove the. While they are small. Idk. I dont eat it and first to time growing it. #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #planttherapy #veggiegardens #veggietales #greggang #plantmafia #plantstash #okra
I think larger okra can be tough. My mom cooks it.๐Ÿคค๐Ÿคค But honestly I don't know either lol
I don't think it's ready yet. I think the bottom needs so be less tapered and fuller. (:
Okra should be cut when it is one to two days old or two to four inches long. This is the time it is most tender. Okra can cause skin irritation so wear gloves when curing. ๐Ÿ˜
Okra gets tough if you leave it too long. Harvest at about 4 inches.
Thank you!
Especially you Peggy, bc although i should have learned my lesson by now, I still wouldn't have worn gloves like a doofus and my hands would have suffered more than they are now on their own.
I used to grow okra all the time for friends. Go ahead it looks ready!
Love it if it's harvested while tender. I have a daughter who likes pickled okra!
