It’s Saturday afternoon here on west coast! How’s everyone at #TheWateringHole today? 😊 Had a great morning catching up on plant projects. 1️⃣ on my list was to make a succulent arrangement with this darling bird planter. I planned on putting 2 lithops in it but it’s too shallow for the 2” pots. So baby succulents instead!! Kinda inspired by Barbara @BEsucculent 🎉 thank you for your recent posts!!🙌 👶 🌱. As they grow I can transplant to deeper pots. Or just let this one overflow 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 😊 Also on to-do list was 👀 an outside Hoya compacta. It’s been a bit sad looking. Discovered sooty mold in his little twists & turns 😳. So he got a good scrubbing 🧼 🧽 🚿 as did the Goldfish plant and the planter they were on. The rhipsalis on the planter seems fine 👍. The 3 are drying off, catching some afternoon rays 🌞 with the donkey tail, Maxillaria and RicRac cactus!🥰🫠💚. You were busy!! I went to the dollar store! I feel like I struck gold haha I can't wait till my room is done! My fil is coming tomorrow to hang shelves! 🥰 and I'm waiting on Amazon to deliver another greenhouse to me so I can finally have some plants in the living room. Now if I just had two weeks to go in and repot everyone and wash them I'd be all set!!! 🤭🫣🫣🫣🫣🤣🤣🤣🪴🪴🪴

I got home from a very busy day at the restaurant. We were down two people (one front of house and one back) so it was kind of a good old fashioned 💩 show 😂 Usually when it’s busy I get into my groove, but I did not find my groove today (and kept repeating lines from the Emperor’s New Groove in my head 🤣)
Now I’ve got 20 plants needing attending to and a RAT 🐀 under my house 😭 Luckily though, I have 5 cats 🐈⬛ 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛ and they are on the job 🥷👷👷♀️🕵️

@MariansOasis Love all those gorgeous plants soaking up the sun! I can’t tell you how many times I almost ordered that bird planter from Amazon, but never did. Your succulent babies look nice in there. I had to go to work this afternoon. We had a few snow flurries this AM and it was a balmy 23 degrees when I headed home tonight. I’m thankful for seat warmers in the car! Being a Southern belle who’s reached their cold little old lady stage, this weather is not pleasant at all! Got some watering done before I left for work, but tomorrow is going to be a big watering day. Getting ready to go put on my fleece jammies and get warm! I can’t sleep in them, but they make great winter lounging wear.
@MariansOasis Yes! I love your birdbath too! It looks antiqueish… very pretty all of them!!! I just had to repot my #PurplePitcherplant #ParrotPitcherPlant They were really outgrowing their pots… #TheWateringHole and all the #GregGang that are members!
@MariansOasis your babies look very happy. My poor ric rac cactus looks so sad. I accidentally forgot about it 😬. It does have a couple new shoots coming on so there’s still hope, I think 🤔. As I was watering my babies I noticed my phalo orchid bloomed 👏🏾 and my Hoya cuttings have begun to grow. I guess we gotta take the good with the bad. I hope everyone is staying safe and warm in this crazy cold weather. I’m in PA and am looking forward to a heatwave of 35 degrees 😂

@RefinedSandwort that’s funny you almost got the bird planter too! I like it but it is very shallow. Seat warmers are the best. My last vehicle had them but current one no go 😞 🥶. Told my husband it’s a nonnegotiable for the next vehicle 🚗 🛻🥰

@TRose lol too much space! 😝. Oh I’ve done that with a few too!!! Borderline neglect 😬🤪. But sometimes it just gets too frustrating. And I can’t toss them so I just 😒🫤 kinda ignore them. The last time I repotted RicRac I went like totally epiphytic! It’s a chunky, almost orchid like mix. He seems to prefer it, so far 😝
