Some pretty variegated babies & an arrangement I put together this week! 🌱
1. Kiwi Aeonium (I have had this one for a while, she had two siblings but sadly they didn’t make it). My mom revived this one for me and It is now back in my care. She has fostered quite a few of my succulents for me😊
2. New variegated Jade, I have a bigger version from my local nursery, and this one is from my local big box store. I wonder if they will preform any differently? πŸ€”
3. New Anacampseros Sunrise, I have two of these now. My other is much taller, as if I’ve had it much longer. It was this size when I first got it. This new baby has 2 blooms on it, hopefully I will get to see them open since my other has never bloomed. 🌸
4. Arrangement I put together, with my clearance pot from walmart. When I finished it fit four echeverias, a sedum, & a kalanchoe.
5. Two more variegated varieties I found when I went shopping, an elephant bush, and string of buttons πŸŒΏπŸ‘πŸΌ I’ve had a string of buttons before, that grew super tall, but I lost them to a hard frost! I also am familiar with portulacaria so I’m excited to try my hand with these babies again. βœ¨πŸŒ΅πŸ’• #SucculentSquad #Succulents #succulentsunday #Succulent #succulentarrangements #Echeveria #variegatedplants #Aeonium #PlantAddict #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #NewPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #ElephantBush

I love the variegated Jade 😍 unfortunately I have no luck with Jade (how ironic considering Jade is supposed to be lucky). I always either overwater or put them where they get too much sun πŸ₯΄
@Lifeis2short I had trouble learning jades at first, they just have to have limited sun, morning sun , and afternoon shade if possible, and only water when the leaves get slightly less firm then usual. I actually am keeping my other jade outside in the sun , but I move it when it gets really hot because sometimes it will burn it if I’m not careful! The first two pictures are recently the third is when I repotted it the first time, and the last one is this week. (Sorry it’s a little out of order lol) It’s done well so far! I almost lost the variegation from keeping it inside, so I that’s why I brought it back outdoors to try to get that cool coloring back!
@Lifeis2short Nice collection. I haveaJade, Echeverias, sedum and Elephant that came together in a really cute basket. It is outside on the west side with shade from the overhang and oaks, so gets some late direct sun. Somerhing has taken large bites of the Jade (probably grasshopper) and the rest are showing signs of stress. I have sprayed it with Neem oil, but I’m not sure that’s enough. I want to bring it inside, but am afraid to infest my indoor friends. What to do?
@CuteChollipo they look like they might be getting too much water and since it’s in a cocoa liner and there’s no drainage it may be staying wet for too long. Some of them have black spots on the leaves. That’s a sign of rot or excess moisture. It could be bugs, or June bugs. Those would always munch on my elephant bush, which you have a piece of in your arrangement. I think they just need a repot, in a pot with drainage, and fresh soil. Make sure to check your repots when you repot, if they are dark, have a funny smell, or breaking off, or mushy, it may be rot. If they look healthy, simply repot them in well draining soil. Always have drainage with succulents ! I also have an issue with caterpillars munching on my sedums or other succulents. If you want to bring it inside, I would reccomend you repot them first with new dirt, to lower chances of bringing it indoors, and then quarantine them from your other plants indoors to make sure they are healthy.
@CuteChollipo also the second photo looks like it may need more sun, the greening in the center, is what makes me think this. (I circled it) More light would help the discoloration, but slowly introduce it so you don’t burn your plant!
The first picture looks like it may have gotten burnt from to much direct light, it looks a little crispy, and burnt in some places. . So that’s why I reccomend you slowly introduce the other plant to sun more slowly , because it can burn the plant if done to quickly. These plants may have different needs so it may be best to pot them separately while you recover them, so you can learn what is best for each one. Some may need more light than others. Water etc.
@CuteChollipo aren't the grasshoppers horrible this year! This is what they've done to my sunflowers and rose bush 🫣😠
@TidyTigerpear @Lifeis2short I envy your succulent acumen. I am learning, but every time one suffers from my ignorance, I suffer. You can read all day about β€œhow to”, but until you feel what makes them happy, we both suffer😒
They are beautiful
@TidyTigerpear very pretty
So cute!
@Lifeis2short Bastards think they can just hop all over you and your plants. Fortunately, they only bite green things. (In their defense, they are unusually beautiful this year. Not green, but a creamy tan. Love, hate, love, hateπŸ€£πŸ˜‚ It is only our expectations that make us suffer!
@RadFicusginseng Yes very! But Lowe’s combines the pretty but incompatible and then when they die, sell you more. And we go for it every time. Fools, we are!

@TidyTigerpear I never saw this post, so much of the Echeverias have gone to dust, but all are not lost, so thanks! I am going to separate them into individual pots so that I can treat them individually.
Thanks again!
