Finding light for Zygopetalum in your home
Zygopetalum may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Zygopetalum in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Zygopetalum
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Zygopetalum after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

It’s a miracle! So after 2,5 years and not a lot of love (I always forget Winifred 🙈), she gives me again the most amazing orchids 🥰

Orchid Repot? I just received this Zygopetalum orchid in the mail today and although it’s a good sized plant (15 inches or so for the tall leaves), it is in a very tiny pot. My question is, how big a pot can I repot into? I know for most plants you should only go up an inch or so, but is this also true of orchids? Thanks! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #OrchidLovers #ZygopetalumOrchid #OrchidOrg #Orchid #LaSiguanaba #theamigos
