About Painted Trillium
Painted Trillium is a native perennial wildflower in the Melanthiaceae family. It is commonly seen in the mountains of the South Eastern United States. The flower is white with dark red to purple at the base and occurs on a single erect stem in the spring. The three large leaves are in a whirl and are petioled.
