This little gal came to us in the mail along with a T. Ionantha Guatemala as a gift from work during lockdown. We put her in a corner between two windows (south and west) where there just aren’t enough foot candles of light and, per the printed instructions she came with, misted regularly. Droop, droop, droop. Drab, drab, drab. Her pal was drying up, too. Come to find out, she needed more light, and we needed to be soaking her, not misting. Dumped her and her buddy in a pot of rain water + seaweed tea for about three hours as a rescue bath, then one hour a day for three days. Set them on a deep south-facing windowsill and let the sun work its magic. They are now plump, perky, and silvery all over with healthy trichomes. The Guatemala plant is even beginning to trim that gorgeous reddish-pink. Poor things. Mama and papa had a bit to learn about air plant parenting!
