How to fertilize Long-Bristled Comfrey
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Long-Bristled Comfrey after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

My Comfrey is dying and I don’t know why Her leaves are steadily growing yellow then brown then black, all the leaves at her base are black and dead and she hasn’t grown at all and I’m not sure why, any ideas? I’m pretty new to this

Any ideas why comfrey is wilting? I had it in full sun and immediately began drooping so I moved it into partial sun and planted in ground. Fish fertilized 2 days ago. I have a second plant that isn’t having this issue.

It’s been a rough winter for my plants, and not a lot made it through. The cold, bug infestations, and more. But this one right here has done something amazing. Madame Pomfrey the Comfrey was one of my firsts, and she has been drastically shifting between life and death from the moment I got her, but after a massive infestation of bugs, I thought maybe this is the end, maybe she’s truly done for this time. And maybe she is. But look, There, on the edge of her pot: A sprout. Even after all of that, life still continues to grow. Maybe Madame Pomfrey is gone for good, but that doesn’t mean it’s over. It’s never over, and that’s the best part.
