How to fertilize Styphnolobium japonicum
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Styphnolobium japonicum after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Like a new mom all over again This is Richard, aka Dick, named for my late father. #PlantsMakePeopleHappy It was alone and totally neglected on the closed porch for nearly a year before I got through enough of the grief that I desperately want to save it, instead of just crying when I think about why it's in such bad shape to start. Like a TTC (trying to conceive) with a pregnancy test, I'm digging out the microscope looking for new growth and he's doing it 😭😭😭 if I can save the whole tree no one can deny my witch powers anymore. If not, at least this branch might be able to be it's own 🫠

He suffers 😭 #ScholarTree My late father loved growing plants that he never bothered to leave instructions (or identification) for, so I've got a small nursery I've been keeping Alive and I'm praying this app and the community can help me get the poor babies back in good shape. This tree has been hanging on by a thread for almost a year and I have no idea how to help it, aside from better light (learned that about 20 minutes ago). Advice, suggestions, donations for a grow light appreciated 😭 (that last bit's a joke......I mean unless YOU wanna...?)
