Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Rubus altiarcuatus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Bareroots: watering advice needed #EuropeanRedRaspberry My bareroot raspberries are progressing well towards the end of Week 1. Today is day 6. They should be fine going into week 2 without extra watering rite? Greg tells me to water tomorow, but I'm unsure. Dont bareroots and actual plants hv diff requirements? Plants already hv well functioning roots Vs bareroots just getting started. What do U guys reckon? The bottom of these fabric bags still feels moist tho...

Raspberry bareroots. How often to water? #EuropeanRedRaspberry Hi guys, been trying my hand with raspberry bareroots, so I'm just wondering if anyone can share some advice on the watering regiment? My propagation room been abuzz pwith buds of bareroot canes greening up. It's only been Day 4, so that's a good thing I guess? :)) How often do I give these fellas water? Well..Greg tells me to water on Saturday(8 days) but I'm unsure coz surely bareroot requirements are different from actual plants? I think even if they're showing green sprouts, but their root systems are just probably rebooting and setting up. Some additional info Raspberry bareroots are given a solid good drench after potting -Type of pot: fabric grow bags (12cm diameter) -Medium: 1 part potting soil and the rest are mostly perlite, coarse river sand, rice hulls and burnt rice hulls. -Bareroots are soaked in rainwater for an hour prior to planting

Brought back from the brink This fall gold raspberry is a lucky one I rescued after it got stuck in the mail for over 7 days. So, it lost all its leaves but it sent out four more buds and is leafing out. I know it's not out of the woods yet until its like 5-10cm high. I know there's that dark thing at the stem which was spreading but slowed down as it reaches closer to the buds. My seller says it's not disease... Anyone experienced anything like this? Nothing to worry about? Yes? I really wanna help raspberry back on it's feet! It's been fighting so hard! Well deserving of a strong start!

What can I do with bareroots that's still dormant but alive(green)? #EuropeanRedRaspberry Hi guys. Do I leave them alone or try to soak them in root stimulant and repot in fresh potting soil? I scraped off the outer bark and found it's still apple green in color. Also, there are some that's pale lime color. Is it too late for them or can they still be saved?

Cut this off or not? #EuropeanRedRaspberry Hi guys... This Golden Harvest raspberry was growing extremely well until it got into a bit of a speed bump today😅 I really need some advice. You can see all the buds are nice, strong and apple-green, but there is one fella at the top right corner that's becoming weaker. I'm contemplating of cutting it off and spray down some biological fungicide later today. Is this the right thing to do? Context: Greg told me to water yesterday , and I did just that (500ml for fabric pot with a diameter of 24cm), and past few days been an absolute scorcher(39c) . Well I've following the schedule and it's been great for the past 3 weeks with no problems, untill today.

What is this black tip? #EuropeanRedRaspberry Hi guys :)) hope someone can help identify this black tip on my Heritage raspberry coz I can't find any info about it from Google. It could be a minor issue but I'm using looking out for potentially early fungal issues. Whole plant is 50cm(4feet) high growing at breakneck speed. Been very careful about watering. I followed Greg App which advised to water every 4 days.

Fungus gnats #EuropeanRedRaspberry So, I'm growing my bareroot raspberry indoors under growlights when suddenly these guys show up. As a preventative step, I've watered all my bareroots with BTI treated water but I'm still seeing these pesky fungus gnats. Maybe I'm noticing stuff more coz all this is happening in my grow room, but are fungus gnats gonna cause any serious issues?

Greg watering advice #EuropeanRedRaspberry I wonder if Greg's weekly watering advice (every 7-8 days) should apply to starter plants? Example: cuttings, rootlets and bareroots. I remember the process for cuttings I prepared which can be left for 2 weeks and the roots developed nicely. No additional watering needed. Greg app is no doubt great for plants with functioning roots! It helped me improve watering for most plants, I'm just wondering about U know? Cuttings, bareroots and rootlets which are still not plants yet. Do I go for the home run? (2 weeks) Coz they all received a generous amount of water on planting day. All my plants are in the growroom. They are not exposed to sun and the elements.

How does my Heritage raspberry look? #EuropeanRedRaspberry Been going off like a rocket since I adopted this heritage raspberry last few months. Guys.. do U think it's doing ok? 😅 Context: this morning, I gave it some leftover rainwater mixed with hb101 and vitamin b1 solution. Now? I'm a bit apprehensive coz it's not the usual rainwater- only drink. A little part of me wished I stick with the script that works🫥🫥 It's been cloudy, a bit of showers and sun in the morning. Hope I didn't derail it's pace of growth, no

What happened? Green but wilted #EuropeanRedRaspberry Not the kind of update I wanted to see. I'm wondering what happened? It was doing fine right into week 2 However, I did remember switching on an extra growlight earlier before this happened. Could the light be too intense? Or is this an overwatering problem? I did watered 120ml yesterday which was half the amount recommended by Greg. Included before and after pics
