Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Xanthosoma in your home š”.
How to fertilize Xanthosoma
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil itās likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Xanthosoma after it doubles in size or once a yearāwhichever comes first.

Cut ? I just got this pretty girl a couple days ago. Her one leaf is in very bad shape so I was going to cut it at the base. Thereās already a new leaf coming in off the same stem. Should I not cut at all ? Should I cut further up above the new leaf ? Is cutting old, damaged leaves even correct ? Iām newer to plants and have had mostly cacti so Iām definitely still learningš #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom

Humidity?? Iāve seen quite a few suggestions of using a pebble tray to help increase humidity, along with clustering plants together. These seem like much easier options than humidifiers or glass cabinets. My questions then are: (1) Does the type or size of pebble matter? One comment I read said leca, others just said pebbles. (2) How much water should be in the pebble tray? I typically plant in clear nursery pots and then set in decorative planters, so the actual plant wonāt touch the water. TIA! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #NewPlantMom #TropicalPlants #humidityhelp

Does this just need watered? I got this plant from Home Depot on Valentineās Day. Itās still in the same pot it came in (which is a self watering one) so the only thing Iāve done is water it the day I got it (filled the bottom of the self watering pot). I spray it every morning for humidity as I wait to save up for a humidifier. Itās just very droopy and sad, and itās my first type of this plant so I want to make sure Iām doing it right haha. Itās also under a grow light which you can see where at in the photo; TIA āŗļøššš¼
