About Costa Rica Peperomia
Did you know Peperomia plants belong to the pepper family, along with black peppercorns? Their fruits and seeds have traveled one of the longest distances ever recorded, over 3000 miles to an island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, while stuck to a bird's feet! 🦅 They can be easily propagated by leaves which make them super easy to share with friends!

How to fertilize Costa Rica Peperomia
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Costa Rica Peperomia after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

The plant is losing a lot of leaves but looks healthy otherwise and also grows new ones. Is this normal at that time of year? #Peperomia

What’s on my plant??? Raised, dark spots that don’t come off. On several leaves.

What’s up with Fernie? I moved a few months ago and still trying to figure out the best spots for my plants in our new place. My baby rubber plant has been looking increasingly sad. Does this look like under watering? A pest? Something else? I’d love to be able to make him happy again. #Peperomia

how to get bigger leaves? I have this plant that seems to be growing fine. But the more it grows the smaller the leaves get. Is it just lack of light that’s making them smaller? How do I get it to produce bigger leaves? #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #PlantLove #Peperomia #PeperomiaHope #GregGang

Just repotted this beauty. I saw she was growing and thought perhaps she was outgrowing her starter pot. Her leaves are breaking a bit and she has some browning. Changed her soil to an indoor mix. Anything else I can do to make her grow more healthy? #Peperomia

🍉 DRAMA QUEEN ALERT I’ve owned this plant a little while now and I wanted to give some tips as this is one of my favourite plants to own but can be scary for a couple of reasons (see the photo!) 🌱 If you repot this plant, if you change the soil, even sometimes move into a new home, this is going to happen. They are so sensitive they will loose all their leaves. HOWEVER: 💚 One of the reasons I LOVE this plant is how fast they bounce back. Their leaves grow extremely fast and plentiful. I’m not worried about all these leaves dying. I changed the soil cause I wanted better drainage & downsized pot. I know in a month or two we’ll be back stronger. ✂️ Really easy to propagate too. Take one of those stems and place it in water. ✨ These plants are fast growers, easy to look after, but sometimes dramatic. But what’s better than a dying plant? One fully recovered. :) #Peperomia #PlantTherapy #plantinginspiration
