White patches on prickly pear? I just got this prickly pear yesterday and am very excited about it! I noticed that there are some whiter patches on it - is this normal or anything to be concerned about? I also noticed 3 tiny black spiders in the bag when I brought it home and am concerned this is a pest, but don’t see any signs of spider mites. #PricklyPear

#freshleaffriday I remember reading "the pads take over a year to do anything" after snipping and proudly potting Sydney's pups in a cement pot. That was two years ago, so...accurate. All the porch plants feature at least one clump of white dog hair. That Copiapoa has been through the worst times, but I can't bring myself to give up on it despite the constant mealiebug issues. I put it outside in too much heat, and it spit out pups. And my misshapen crested euphorbia. Do whatever you want, man.

#succulentsquad June 3rd vs June 28th, 2025. The two pads in a cement planter are pups from last year. I can confirm they are slowwwwww growers. Note that this was my first "big plant," and it went through all kinds of naive experiments - it also used to be a squirrel snack.

Bunny Ears Cactus help! #PricklyPear I have had this cactus for about 7 or 8 years. All of a sudden she started turning yellow and shriveling up:( she has been like this for a few months. She used to thrive and grow so much, I am wo during if the regular potting soil i have been using it finally starting to affect her? Should I invest in some cactus soil? Or any other advice to what you guys think I should do? I hope she isn't dead but I am still new to plants so I am not sure😅
