How to fertilize Mammillaria muehlenpfordtii
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Mammillaria muehlenpfordtii after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

The base of this baby cactus I got last weekend is brownish. I just don’t want it to get worse or take over the plant. Does anyone know what might be wrong or have any suggestions? #Mammillaria

#succulentsquad #freshleaffriday This is Siouxsie (and Her Banshees). She started as a ball, but quickly took advantage of the odd, dissonant lighting and heat I provided way back in Summer 2021. I recently pulled off some of the pups, believing they just pop out, but it was really violent and gross. I felt awful and vowed to leave her alone. I did a double take today when I saw her first flower - ever.

Siouxsie - and her banshees. She was a simple ball (image not the original Siouxsie), then 2022 July sun and my moving things around too often caused this "I don't know which direction to grow." I almost cut the top and repotted after finding some bugs, but then she grew even more in the outdoor quarantine area. #succulentlove #cactuslover

Can I repot a spiny pincushion while it's blooming? #Mammillaria Not pictured but my spiny pincushion has been slowly blooming over the past month and its flowers are just now opening up. Its roots have been trying to escape through the bottom of the plastic pot it's in for awhile and I'd really like to give it more space and a better pot than the one it came in. Will I do much harm to the plant if I repot it now? Should I wait until it's completed it's bloom cycle? Im just worried that waiting out such a slow cycle may be risking issues - it really wants more space to grow! Thanks in advance!
