How to fertilize Least Duckweed

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Least Duckweed after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Do I need to do anything? My duckweed has been growing like crazy and now takes up the whole top of my aquarium and is now starting to grow on top of itself. The aquarium holds shrimp and snails. Should I remove some of the plants? Or just let it be?
