How to fertilize Flaming Katy
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Flaming Katy after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Aphids... womp womp #Kalanchoe hey all! My Flaming Katy got aphids, and I would love advice! I just treated with rubbing alcohol diluted with water. 1 to 1. I used q tips to really clean as much as I could, im sure I missed some. Just praying its not in the soil and roots. I sprayed with dawn and water, and now im just letting them sit. Then im going to rinse them in a few hours. Were getting Bonide Captin Jack's Deadbug Brew. It should be here in a few days. Legit mortified because I hate bugs. The smaller ones are propigations ive been working on. The two long ones were just transferred to soil yesterday from water. But they all came from the big plant. She got knocked over in a bad wind storm and I wanted to try to revive her babies, and theyve been doing great. Just had no clue they had mealys till now. Thank you in advance, and happy gardening!

I'm somewhat new to this type of succulent, and may have crippled it beyond repair. Is there anyway to bring it back to thriving? It lives under a grow light now that runs for 7hrs daily. Any advice would be welcome, even in reprimand form. #Kalanchoe

Should I prune more? I gave my super leggy #FloristKalanchoe a haircut. I’ll propagate a lot from those cuttings. I have a few others propagating already. If it branches out from where I cut it, it’ll still be a trailing plant. It should be upright and compact, and the vines are pretty fragile. Maybe I should leave it and just grow the cuttings correctly. If the props work out, I can cut the mother way back. The roots are good

I have just cut off dead flowers. Still some in flower. Is it looking healthy? Leaves are very green still… #Kalanchoe

Before/Midway/After on My Florist Kalanchoe. She was outrageously leggy. The cuttings have small roots, so I took off the Saran Wrap humidity cover. @Idplantthat gave me advice on cutting. Thanks so much, babes! It’s turning out wonderfully 🥳🌱 #HappyPlants thanks to Clonex gel. I didn’t have to let them callus over. I chopped down on Dec 18

All of a sudden it started drooping and dropping leaves. #Kalanchoe
