Finding light for Haworthia in your home
a window
Haworthia may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Haworthia in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Haworthia
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Haworthia after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Is a lamp right over my plant good enough? #Haworthia I put a regular lamp over my Haworthia succulent after repotting and turn it off at night. Is this enough, or do I need an actual grow light? Also, what are some low-cost methods to getting rid of fungus gnats? My plant is not doing well, and i dont know if it is the gnat larvae eating the roots or if it needs actual UV lighting.

New growth is long and skinny. Hi everyone, I need help. I’m not too good at keeping succulents alive but I really really try because I love them! Well, I have been seeing this new skinny-leggy growth on these top leaves and can’t figure out why it’s doing this. And it looks like more will be appearing. How do reverse this or fix it to get them thick like the others?

What’s up with my Star Cactus? All of a sudden, like over the past few days, my Star Cactus has been changing colour from green to that burgundy-ish and possibly looking a little sad. It’s in a very gritty succulent soil and terracotta pot with a drainage hole. I’m quite sure overwatering isn’t the culprit. I also don’t see any obvious signs of pests (although a craggy plant like Drake is tricky to properly inspect). We’re entering autumn in Southern Ontario and it’s been a little grey and rainy so it’s been less bright but he’s indoors and it’s not his first season change so I’m not sure that’s it either. Your thoughts and/or advice are very welcome .

New babies on my Aloe ‘Firebird’, a gift from one of @vvvelo ‘s giveaways, last year. ☺️ (photo 1) Two new babies on my Haworthia Limifolia (photos 2-4), I’m gonna try to repot her soon, because I think her & her pups may need more space 😊. #Haworthia #SucculentSquad #Succulent #SucculentLove #Succulents #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #GrowingSuccs #PlantAddict #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #PlantLove #FirebirdAloe #Aloe

How do I save this haworthia plant? It's been almost two years since I had this plant. Please help me in saving this succulent.

Bart’s Blooming! It’s so cute! I found this one unlabeled at a local nursery, and guessing it’s a Haworthia cooperi? I don’t keep it in this window for more than a few hours: intense CO sun stresses them out. I’m a recovering plant killer and it’s taken me 3 years to figure this out. 🙃 #Haworthia #HaworthiaCooperi

Got to repot some of my plants that haven’t gotten repotted yet, they have had the same dirt and pot since last summer. So I thought it was time to upgrade some of them & give them some fresh dirt. 1. Graptoveria ‘Debbie’ 2. Echeveria ‘perle von nurnberg’ 3. Golden Hannii Snake Plant 4. Euphorbia monstrose 5.
