How to fertilize Calathea lietzei 'Stella'
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Calathea lietzei 'Stella' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Welp.. I apparently made a mistake by getting a #RoseCalathea as one of my very first plants 😂 it was just so beautiful, I couldn’t not, but upon researching them they’re one of the top 10 hardest plants to care for… any tips on how to keep my new baby alive and thriving? 😭😍 #CalatheaCrew #Calathea #calathearoseopicta #NewPlantMom #NewPlants #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantCorner #PestControl

Why are the tips brown? My calathea has these brown tips and I have no idea why? Is she to close to sunlight, she is with most of my other plants.

Repotting new plants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #CathedralWindows #Begonia Sometimes I repot plants when I bring them home and sometimes I don’t. But these two have me concerned. Their soil seems to stay too moist. It’s like they are growing out of sponges. I think they are both plants that like being moist, but this moist? The cathedral windows has me concerned because its leaves haven’t done much relaxing of a morning, and several are fairly curled up. Could it just be acclimating? It’s going to have to adjust to the house because I’m not messing with the humidity too much. It’s in a corner with a bunch of plants, and I’ll add some pebble trays as the season progresses, but it’s survival of the fittest here. So bottom line, repot or no repot?

She wants to be special Um, excuse me? One of my White Fusion calatheas have popped out new leaves where instead of white, she is making the leaves a pale green. It is after splitting and repotting. I have heard of reverting to all green in too much light, but pale green instead of white? Do anyone know what I did?😅 #weirdplants #calatheacrew #goeppertia #whitefusioncalathea #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict

Do I prune? I'm not sure if I need to prune my calathea plant? Some of the leaves are looking a bit sad now, so if I need to prune, how do I do it properly? Any advice would be great 😃

Ready to repot? Hi everyone, I have a very healthy calathea (though I don't want to jinx anything, previous experience with different varieties has taught me just how quickly they can get very unhappy!). She's still in the pot I bought her in 2-3 years ago and is still shooting new leaves. I've thinned the leaves once or twice as it's getting a bit crowded, but it's so happy I'm assuming they like to be quite crowded? Anyway I'd love to repot her and perhaps split the plant but I'm so scared as calatheas are fickle! Any tips, or does she not need it at the moment? Photo of the pot below. Thanks #CalatheaCrew 😊 #calathea
