Creek Fig
About Creek Fig
Did you know that all plants in the Ficus genus produce figs? In fact, the word Ficus quite literally means figs! Even cooler, all figs are pollinated by tiny wasps that use the fruits as a safe place to raise their young. 🐝 Ficus plants also contain latex which emerges as a milky sap when twigs are broken. This latex makes them toxic, so be sure to keep a close eye out if you have children or pets!
Taxonomy

How to fertilize Creek Fig
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Creek Fig after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

It’s 33F-70F outside, can this plant thrive outdoors with its indoor pot? Or is it best the plant remains indoors? #FiddleLeafFig

I'm new to owning a rubber plant I just got this plant about three months ago and it was beautiful. I have only watered it when the soil was dry up to about 2 inches from the surface and it started dropping leaves about a month ago and I've tried letting it dry out more and it's just getting worse. I changed where I put it taking it away from the window area to avoid it being in direct light and away from the cool draft but that hasn't made a difference either. I do have wood heat and I'm wondering if that's a possible issue. It's not always hot in my house but at night it gets up to 79-80°. What should I do?

Hello friends! This is my first post on Greg. I’m not exactly sure what I’m doing, so bear with me! This is the first string of frogs I’ve ever owned, little baby Tolkien:) I was gone for about 5 days to visit family for Thanksgiving and I came back and as you can see he’s not a happy camper. My main concern is that I won’t be able to bring him back. Any tips or suggestions for this guy would be greatly appreciated! Thank you fellow plant parents, this is a wonderful community! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom #PetsAndPlants #PlantLove
