Ficus Aurea
About Ficus Aurea
Did you know that all plants in the Ficus genus produce figs? In fact, the word Ficus quite literally means figs! Even cooler, all figs are pollinated by tiny wasps that use the fruits as a safe place to raise their young. 🐝 Ficus plants also contain latex which emerges as a milky sap when twigs are broken. This latex makes them toxic, so be sure to keep a close eye out if you have children or pets!

How to fertilize Ficus Aurea
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Ficus Aurea after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Leafs Fell off I woke up this morning and two leafs were on the ground. Did I do something wrong? Is this normal? Can I put them in water and save them?

I am finding mixed messages on the watering of my Ficus Ginseng. Some say every two to three weeks and others say keep it moist by watering every few days. Which is correct? #Ficus

I can’t wait for #FreshLeafFriday, this will have to be #MintLeafMonday (mint as in new, fresh; not the plant lol). Look at all these BLESSINGS the Leaf Gods have bestowed upon me in the last several days! There are even more, but this 5 photo limit has me Sophie’s Choice-ing 😂🪴💚 SO, my #PinkPrincessPhilodendron *finally* put out some really good variegation, and a half moon, to boot! The scream that I scrumpt when I saw it 😱🤣 Then, my #PhilodendronSpiritusSancti gave me twins! They opened right at the same pace, it was so cool! My #SilverSwordPhilodendron put out another gigantic, perfect leaf, my albo pothos gave me TWO new gorgeous leaves (I will post the second in the comments!), and my #FicusRuby put out this new leaf last Monday, and as you can see, another is about to open! My plants are just going crazy right now and I love it! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #NewGrowth #VariegationAppreciation #Philodendron #PhiloFlock #Ficus #PothosPack #babevila
