Mealies! 😫 I just found mealy bugs for the first time! There weren’t tons, so I think I caught it pretty quickly. I took the affected plants and their close neighbors, went over them with an alcohol q-tip, and sprayed the 💩 out of them with 70% alcohol. Wiped the cover pots down with Clorox wipes. They are now quarantined in a room with minimal light. I have no idea where they came from! I will keep a close eye on other plants. Now to my questions: How far can mealies travel? How often do I spray with alcohol- daily? How long until I can return them to their windowsill? Am I missing any other steps to mitigate the outbreak?
