How to fertilize Astilbe
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Astilbe after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Eeek! My astilbe grew a flower!! I personally have no experience with astilbe flowers but what should I do with it?? I got it from a garden teacher and my neighbor said that the name ‘astilbe’ sounded like something from Legend of Zelda. 😂 #Astilbe #FloweringPlants #flowerpower #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #seeds #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #pollination #Seedpod

I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a community for the #astilbe? I bought an Astilbe "Chocolate Shogun" (second attempt, strictly indoor this time) I absolutely adore it! It's leaves are starting to turn that bronze I admired it for ^^

Just bought this beauty Wondering two things: 1. Should I go ahead and put it in a bigger pot now? 2. I couldn't find the correct identity in the plant list when I was adding her, so i just clicked on the "rivularis". Is this going to affect Greg's care recommendations in any big way? There doesn't seem to be a way to add it at all. Thanks in advance, everyone!

After seeing my friends two colossal jades crawling all over his house, I finally asked for a clone. This is my first non-succulent, so I was concerned I would become weary of trying to keep her alive, knowing my previous record of having issues even keeping cactus' alive. That being said, I've loved watching her grow quite effortlessly with very little participation on my part. I would recommend a jade plant to anyone who is a beginner, but wants something lush and viney.
