IM A ALOCASIA DADDY! So this is my story. I went back to my happy place perch plants, originally to buy a anthurium clavernarium. BUT IT WAS 44 DOLLARS FOR A SMALL ONE! And their plants are a STEAL. For example, I could buy a FULL GROWN ficus for 45 dollars there. Thereās the anthurium idea down the drain. So I was looking around for the plant of my dreams, not a peperomia, not getting another philodendron, (at least for another month I canāt resist!) And then I hit alocasias. I promised myself āLuke, (thatās my name) NO ALOCASIASā so I was like fine. But then a saw it. A beautiful Alocasia silver dragon. For 16 dollars! What a deal! And then I remembered what I said about alocasiasā¦. Ehh skrew that ur coming home with me! So I wiped down the leaves, and checked for pests, (which there are none!) and placed it on my bookshelf. Btw itās next to the window! So, how to care for my first alocasia? I really donāt know šš any suggestions or advice that would be good to know for Sammy? PS, I know they go dormant in winter #Alocasia #AlocasiaSilverDragon #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #plantparent #PlantAddict

Happy Monday Everyone! I recently rescued this Alocasia Dragon Scale from a big box store and sheās looking a lot better since I brought her home. But sheās still got some yellowing on the tips of her leaves. Iāve checked for pests and taken preventative measures, made sure the soil is just right and Iām giving her a good amount of light and humidity. It doesnāt seem to be getting worse, Iām not super familiar with alociasias and wanted to know if you guys had any advice or tips on how to best take care of them! Iād like to know how to best support her transition to my home. Any advice is helpful! #AlocasiaAddicts #Alocasia #AlocasiaDragonScale #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Can i know if this species of alocasia always 3 leafs only? Seems like a new leaf is growing but a mature leaf started dying or wilting after the new leaf unfurled.

Alocasia ID please Greg said it was cabbage! Hahaha #AlocasiaAddicts Also one leaf is so floppy thereās no firmness in it at all, it was in a tiny dried up peat block which I rinsed off and put into soil, zero rot and a lot more roots than I thought would be in there!
