Indian Cucumber
About Indian Cucumber
Medeola virginiana is a slender, upright perennial wildflower that grows 1-2.5’ tall on a single, unbranched stem rising up each year from a crisp, edible rhizome. It is native to rich moist woodlands with acidic soil in eastern North America. Leaves that grow below the fruit develop red areas on the surface, matching the color of the dark fruit.

How to fertilize Indian Cucumber
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.

To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Indian Cucumber after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.
