They are now thoroughly naturalized from North Carolina to Florida, with North Carolina being its northern limit. Plant seed in the fall by direct sowing and lightly raking in. How to fertilize Indian Blanket
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Indian Blanket after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Faded leaves My leaves of my Indian blanket are looking dull green and yellowing from the inside out. The flowers are beautiful and vibrant. They were being watered daily (15 minutes) in the heat of zone 9. Am@I watering too much?
