Friendship Plant
About Friendship Plant
Pilea plants are native to regions worldwide, and often have succulent, water-storing leaves. A handful of them are grown as houseplants, but the rest of the 600+ species are wild plants. Their name comes from the Latin for 'felt cap' which refers to the unique way that their fruits are protected. Fossils of Pilea species have been found dating back over 5 million years ago!

How to fertilize Friendship Plant
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Friendship Plant after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

My plant keeps losing stems and now there’s white fungus growing. Is it just the watering? I just repotted it a couple weeks ago to a better one but it’s still not doing well #Pilea

Help. Was thriving, then the season started to change and now she’s… not. I got this little lady in July. She has been doing great and thriving. The weather started to cool here, and this little girl is located in my bathroom with corner windows that are both North and West, no direct sunlight, I have sheer curtains and a tinted window cling on the west one. I haven’t overwatered that I know of. She started to have stems look like they had been pinched or damaged, starting about 2 weeks ago? (See pic of a fallen one for reference). She has lost about 5 leaves with stems. She is still a baby. A week ago, I repotted her from a 6” to a 4”, added some perlite to the soil to make sure she wasn’t getting soggy, and to make sure she wasn’t getting overwatered. As you can see from the photos she’s looking droopy and haggard. Her plant card is what she looked like about 2 weeks ago. She lost another stem leaf last night! No pests that I can see. Help! #Pilea #HappyPlants #Help
