Finding light for Plume Asparagus in your home
a window
Plume Asparagus may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.

How to fertilize Plume Asparagus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Plume Asparagus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Not getting enough light? Or just a freak? I’m not sure what’s happening here lol. I thought it wasn’t getting enough light so I moved it directly to the window sill (north facing) and it started sprouting the second little guy. Is this normal behavior or am I messing something up? I love it and think it’s goofy, but want to make sure I’m not neglecting this guy

Root rot or stress? I had to repot both of my foxtail ferns recently as the terrible nursery pots I got them in were infested with ants (AND the plants were so root bound there was hardly any soil left.. what was left was holding onto water way too long) and this one has been yellowing quicker since. I already had concerns about root rot since the nursery pots held onto water for so long, but there was so smell or obvious rotting while I was repotting (The bulbs were soft, but a lot of them actually seemed dry.. all the worst ones fell off too) so I’m wondering if this is actually root rot or if it’s just stress from the move? Maybe both? Help! #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom #FloweringPlants #FernFriends #FoxtailFern #PlumeAsparagus #RootRot #NewPotWhosThis #help #helpneeded

Just spent an hour emergency repotting my foxtail fern because it had ants, I’ve never repotted a plant with tuberous roots before!! So many roots! I didn’t know my poor plant was so root bound I’ll definitely be checking up on my foxtail ferns more in the future. But I got BOTH my foxtail ferns repotted and they’re much happier I’m sure. 😅 I lost quite a few of the bulbs during repotting and I wonder if I can do anything with them..? hopefully my plants didn’t lose too many, there still seemed to be quite a lot in there. (first two pics are roots, third is the bulbs that were lost, last is a photo of the plants all potted up with some extra room to grow now.) #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom #BeforeAndAfter #FloweringPlants #FernFriends #FoxtailFern #PlumeAsparagus

I will put her on the porch not in the sun. How long to acclimate?

Watering So i’m very new to the game and have been watering my foxtail every time the top 3 inches are dried out. Is this too much water considering the soil dries every 4 days and the recommended time is once a week #PlumeAsparagus

Companion planter idea: foxtail fern & prayer plant? With spring approaching I'm making repotting plans and thought these two would look nice together! They both have been good with low light, have similar watering and soil needs. But is there anything else I need to take into consideration? #PlumeAsparagus #foxtailfern #prayerplant #maranta #companionplanting #repotseason #repottinghelp #plantsmakepeoplehappy #greggerssupportinggreggers
