Just spent an hour emergency repotting my foxtail fern because it had ants, I’ve never repotted a plant with tuberous roots before!! So many roots! I didn’t know my poor plant was so root bound I’ll definitely be checking up on my foxtail ferns more in the future. But I got BOTH my foxtail ferns repotted and they’re much happier I’m sure. πŸ˜… I lost quite a few of the bulbs during repotting and I wonder if I can do anything with them..? hopefully my plants didn’t lose too many, there still seemed to be quite a lot in there. (first two pics are roots, third is the bulbs that were lost, last is a photo of the plants all potted up with some extra room to grow now.) #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom #BeforeAndAfter floweringPlants">#floweringPlants #FernFriends #FoxtailFern #PlumeAsparagus

6” pot with drainage

upon further inspection the tubers that fell off seem pretty damaged I will just throw them away I think πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ got beat up in that small pot looks like.
Don't throw them away. Some appear rather healthy. I would propagate any that are firm and pebble like.
@phytologyfan all the ones that fell off were squishy and/or oddly shaped from being crushed against the side of the small pot and either holding too much water or not enough (I couldn’t tell) upon further inspection :( but the ones on the plant still look okay so possibly healthier ones next time I repot πŸ₯²
Here’s mine I just rescued. I’m not repotting lol. It’s pokey!!
@LadyV Pretty plant! Nice pot too 🀩
@Uzi the pot is the reason I purchased then when I got it I realized it actually looked nice so I kept it as is.
