How to fertilize Common Sunflower
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Common Sunflower after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

The leaves have curled I think because of the sun and not enough water maybe. Will it still flower? And do I need to do anything? Maybe prune the curled leaves? Please help :) #CommonSunflower

Beautiful, sunny, and immediately brighten up a garden.
However if you have squirrels in your area - these will also immediately serve as a tasty snack for them the day they are put outside.
If you plant alongside something squirrels hate however - like Geraniums or Hyacinths - they’ll keep them from becoming lunch!

I gave it 3 stars because it was a few feet tall and still in a pot that I think was too small for it.
It’s better for people who live in warmer weather.
I’d also recommend growing it outside so it can take up the space it needs and get a lot of sunlight.
