About Raven ZZ Plant
The black raven is a striking cultivar of the popular ZZ plant. ZZ plants have survived 42 million years of plant pathogens, pests, and climate change. Their resilience and ability to tolerate water stress and low light has elevated them to international horticultural importance! Out of 15 plants tested, the ZZ plant was the best at absorbing and removing out of the air a major component found in gasoline. ā½ļø

Hi! Iām worried about my ZZ Plant. I got this beautiful black raven ZZ at the beginning of July. Itās grown some but for the most part its kind of just stayed the same. Should I be worried? Is it a slow grower? I do have a grow light that goes off and on every 12 hours. I hoping itās just a very slow steady growth! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #GrowLights #PlantCorner #PlantLove #NewPlantMom

Introducing Zion! He's spiritual, not religious, but loves the idea behind the name. Now, I have to live up to it by creating the perfect space for him! I work at Walmart and we have Costa plants in our indoor garden center, and I'd walk past, ogling at them so many times a day. Since I'm alone in my apartment now, I needed to add some life, and I needed to get one of these guys out of the 90+ degree weather here in middle America. I don't know about the pot, I feel it's about time for a bigger pot, but I like the self-watering feature. I fear I might drown the Raven ZZ.

Help #RavenZzPlant Okay. Had to buy this. I knew it would be a project, but it was marked down to $10! Some stalks are black and some are green, one is long, one looks like itās dead at the top and one is flopped over not broken but bent on the stem. I need all sorts of help. Soil mix, separating, propagating? Thereās like 10 stem. to work with. I took it out of the self wateribg pot and let it dry out, I sprayed with neem oil - I water blasted every leaf then next day went with a qtip and brushed every last visible part of the plantt with isopropyl alcoholohol. God autocorrectautocorrct is going insane. Iām leaving it because itās funny but for real, how am I repottingrepottig or am i just gonna let it live like this?

Why are leaves planted in the ground #newplantdad Here are some pictures of this ZZ plant taken before and after. The final two are after I carefully fanned out the branches, whereas the first two depict how I got it in the mail. Do I need to keep the planted leaves in the ground?

Zamioculcas Zamiifolia is my all time favorite plant (besides Aroids!) whether itās the beautiful āGothā Raven or just plain old green. Itās an EXTREMELY SLOW grower which makes it more exciting to see new growth. So if youāre not the patient type Iād skip over it.
Although difficult to kill it can EASILY be killed by overwatering. Iāve purchased the Raven 3x before finally realizing it needed replanting after purchase. I highly recommend if you purchase this plant in a Nursery pot with Peat that you replant it ASAP & wait at least a week to water. Both my green ZZ & Raven are doing amazing in terracotta pots with succulent soil. Both are in North facing windows & are watered once every 3-4wks.
