What’s going on with my umbrella tree?
Third pic is how I got it last week. I watered it the same day because the soil was dry. It’s been by a window since day 2, getting direct sun for about 4 hours a day. Is it a root rot? What should I do? #UmbrellaTree #Schefflera

It does take some time to acclimate to the new environment. I think it looks ok for being a new addition. Does your pot have drainage? The only real way to know if you have root rot is to unpot it and check the roots. Did you know it was variegated when you got it? I didn’t know mine was so I panicked when I saw the yellowing.
@SportySeepmuhly it means the plant will display streaks or patches of different colors. Like dark green/light green or white.
They like filtered light not direct. A good plant for a table away from the window until big enough to be on the floor.
